Flora & Fauna

Publication Design Flora and Fauna, The Last Straw, is a children’s book created to educate and encourage children to become advocates for our planet. This publication design project uses hand-drawn digital illustrations with a saturated color palette and lots of texture. The highly expressive, vivid, and engaging characters are used to draw readers in and hold their attention. The typography selected is a geometric open typeface that lends itself to readability and a bold and playful typeface used expressively. Both typefaces were chosen to appeal to a younger demographic and complement the characters’ personalities. Publication size: 7.5" X 7.5"
