Packaging Design The Mexican idiom, “La muerte me puede pelar los dientes,” or “death can peel my teeth” inspired the illustrations and brand identity for this packaging design project. The traditional Mexican saying means “death can’t do anything to me.” The saying works as both a testament to the strength and perseverance of Mexican immigrants and the ability to withstand the heat of Tooth Peeler Hot Sauce. The energetic color palette was inspired by the Mexican holiday Dia de Muertos, the Day of the Dead. Hand lettering and typography reflect the energy and playfulness of the brand.
